The average sports fan looks at their favorite teams payroll and thinks wow this is incredible, look how much money my team spends. If the average fan knew how much their team made compared to what they pcoket, their lid would blow.
Lets start with the cheapest or one of the cheapest sports cities.
#1. Chicago
EX: The Cubs, Sure the Tribune Company is worth alot and is a big time corporation that owns other assets. Other assets means besides WGN TV andWGN Radio and the Cubs a portion of Comcast Sports Net which is owned by five proffessional sports teams in Chicago. Thirty-Five tv stations, the LA times and a portion of the Food Network, other internet websites and they have their hand in the Illinois lotto as well. Part of the problem their stock price has fallen fourty percent and this has angered share holders. Now are the Cubs cheap? you bet they are considering they are the 5th most expensive team in MLB and are worth 448 million. They make 268 million and spen 117 million of it and if fans want their team to win boycott going to games and they will lose money on merchandise and gate receipts, Maybee then they will learn.
